30th Anniversary of Operation Solomon

Keren Hanan Aynor provides scholarships, personal support and guidance to talented and highly-motivated Ethiopian Israelis studying to acquire higher academic education or advanced professional degrees at universities and technical colleges. Founded in 1994, in memory of Hanan Aynor (z”l), Israeli Ambassador to Ethiopia in 1971-73, Keren Hanan Aynor (KHA) has awarded over 4500 scholarships to more than 2250 Ethiopian Israeli students, promoting the emergence of core leadership and bringing about widespread social change.

This year, we mark the 30th anniversary of Operation Solomon which airlifted some 14,000 Ethiopian Jews to Israel in less than 36 hours in May 1991. Keren Hanan Aynor celebrates the successes of Ethiopian Israelis who have become a significant part of Israeli society. As we continue to work directly with future Ethiopian Israeli leaders committed to serving Israelis of Ethiopian descent as well as society at large, please consider supporting us.
